Thanks to Sony's new global shutter CMOS imaging technology, this camera is able to provide clear and sharp images at high frame rates. The CMOS camera performance is comparable to CCD cameras, at the same time with lower readout noise and higher overall sensitivity and quantum efficiency than CCD sensors of similar size and cost. Pixelation is also eliminated.
This CMOS is a compact but powerful piece of equipment which features highly efficient heat transfer, reduced noise especially in high ambient temperatures.
