Antlia Fast Golden Dual Band Filter - 2-inch
The Antlia Fast Golden Dual Band Filter - 2" (5nm) ALP-T is an accessory developed specifically for fast f-ratio telescopes and is recommended for one-shot colour (OSC) CMOS astrophotography in areas with heavy light pollution.
- Designed specifically for use on fast telescopes with a focal ratio between f/3.6 and f/2.2
- Suppresses unwanted visual wavelengths (300-1100 nm) with an optical density of OD4.5 for an impressive signal-to-noise ratio
- Transmission of Red H-Alpha (Ha) and Blue-Green OIII Main Nebula Emission Lines maximised
- Compatible with one-shot color CMOS cameras
- IR/UV-Cut filter
- Ultra-thin filter cell
- Suppresses natural / artificial light pollution

Suppress light pollution and create exceptional astrophotographs with your low focal ratio telescope.
The Antlia Fast Golden Dual Band Filter - 2" (5nm) ALP-T is designed specifically for fast telescopes with focal ratios between f/3.6 and f/2.2. An especially useful accessory for astrophotography, the Antlia Fast Golden ALP-T isolates and maximises the transmission of the Red H-Alpha (Ha) and Blue-Green Oxygen III Nebula Emission Lines with its advanced multi-coatings.
The Antlia Fast ALP-T is known for its incredible suppression of light pollution, meaning it is most useful in highly light-polluted urban areas. Expect less light pollution from both natural light from atmospheric sky glow (neutral oxygen emission) or moonlight, as well as less artificial light from sodium vapour / mercury vapour lamps.
The Antlia ALP-T Golden Dual-Band Filter - 2" (5nm) works best for telescopes with fast focal ratios, creating exceptional contrast and clean images with each filter individually tested. Hence, you'll spend less of your precious time in post-production isolating those all-too-important fainter details in your astrophotographs.
EXERCISE CAUTION: The Antlia Fast Golden Dual-Band Filter 2-inch (5nm) ALP-T is not suitable for looking at the Sun. Serious eye damage may result.
Optics Central also offers an unmounted variant of the Antlia Fast ALP-T: the Antlia Fast Golden Dual Band Filter - 36mm (5nm).
For telescopes with slower focal ratios (> f/3.0), the Antlia ALP-T Golden Dual Band Filter - 2" or the Antlia ALP-T Golden Dual Band Filter - 36mm are more suitable.
