Overview  The Baader 5.0 OD AstroSolar filter designed for 240mm telescopes offers a secure method for viewing the Sun and is compatible with telescopes and camera lenses featuring apertures ranging from 230mm - 250mm. The package includes Velcro safety straps, pads, and large centering bolts with rubber grips to securely attach the filter to the telescope or lens, reducing the risk of accidental detachment or misalignment. Furthermore, the bolt slots feature printed index scales, facilitating quick and easy adjustments to the filter, simplifying the setup process. To enhance safety, the AstroSolar filter is encased by a white outer ring that repels harmful infrared light. There are also raised edges along the circumferences of the film provide an additional layer of protection. The solar film is cemented onto an injection-molded ring, sharing the same thermal expansion properties as the AstroSolar Filter material, allowing for a free-floating film-carrier ring to be held in place. The package includes two sets of 38mm-long centering bolts: three bolts with a diameter of 10mm and three with a diameter of 20mm, catering to a variety of setup configurations.
