The 13mm Baader Hyperion 68° eyepiece is a high-quality astronomy eyepiece manufactured by the German company Baader Planetarium. They are designed to provide excellent optical performance, wide apparent fields of view, and long eye relief for comfortable viewing.

The Baader Hyperion 68° Modular Eyepieces offer world-class performance and unique photo-visual features, at an unheard of price. Their specialised modular design enables you to change your eyepiece's focal length by adding 'finetuning' extension rings so you get more value for less expense (See Hyperion Eyepiece Focal Length Chart). Its optics is phenomenal, featuring Baader's Phantom Group Coating's 7 Layer multi-layered anti-reflecting coating across all groups of lenses for maximum performance and contrast. This coating is built to work optiminal at around 520nm which is when human's eyes are most sensitive at night.
No longer do amateurs need to spend more on their eyepieces than their primary instrument, in order to get true high-end performance in a wide-field eyepiece. Not just a different branded version of their highly regarded cousins, the Hyperions have been totally redesigned to deliver better transmission, contrast, and useful new features.
Each Hyperion eyepiece comes pre-threaded to accept standard 1.25" or 2" threaded eyepiece filters, also threads for camera adaptation with its M43 thread for M42 T-Threads. There is also a SP54 thread suitable for connecting digital cameras without a removable lens. The eyepiece barrel can also be unscrewed to allow for the addition of Baader Finetuning Rings (sold separately) to change your eyepiece's focal length.
The Baader Hyperion 68° Modular Eyepiece Range comes in 8 sizes: 5mm, 8mm, 10mm, 13mm, 17mm, 21mm, 24mm, a 8-24mm Zoom.
