The Celestron C8 SCT OTA - CG5 comes from a long line of Celestron's famous schmidt-cassegrain telescopes, ranging from 8" to 14". Now available as OTA only, you can mix-and-match your telescope tube and mount and tripod set-up to get exactly what you're after for what you're passionate about.
With the 8" aperture and 2032mm focal length (f/10), the Celestron C8 SCT OTA - CG5 is suitable for planetary imaging. If you're interested in DSO imaging, a focal reducer is highly recommended for field correction and to offer a wider field of view.
