The Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 EdgeHD Computerised Telescope is the cutting-edge in telescope design.
Whether you're a casual backyard observer or an astrophotographer who ventures out to dark sky sites, the Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 EdgeHD is a Computerised Telescope to consider.
The CPC series is the telescope of choice for NASA, with a CPC 925 deployed aboard the International Space Station (ISS). The reason why is clear.
With Celestron's finest optics.
The Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 EdgeHD offers edge-to-edge clarity. The EdgeHD optical system corrects both coma and field curvature, meaning your views and images are crystal clear, free from aberration and streaky stars. These EdgeHD optics are also coated in StarBright XLT Coatings, which ensure that light transmission is maximised, resulting in incredibly bright images when compounded with the huge 9.25-inch aperture of the CPC 925.
The 235mm (9.25-inch) aperture is matched with a focal length of 2350mm (93-inch) focal length for close-up views of celestial objects with a focal ratio of f/10.0. Use a Hyperstar to enjoy the benefits of an incredibly fast telescope at f/2.2.
Unlimited versatility.
Whether you plan to use this telescope in your backyard or take it out to a dark sky site, the CPC Deluxe offers unlimited versatility. The robust dual fork arm mount acts as an anchor for the telescope, ensuring ultra-precise tracking. But the weight of the entire unit still remains manageable at only 34.9kg, including the OTA.
Take impressive images, even with an alt-az.
Most Alt-Azimuth (AZ) telescopes are only capable of visual use, but the Celestron CPC Deluxe 925 EdgeHD offers much of the same high-end features found in German Equatorial (EQ) Mounts, without the complexity. From the get-go, you can expect to take incredibly images with exposures up to 30 seconds - a result of the re-engineered drive train. This new drive train features a 6-inch brass gear, stainless steel worm gear and steel and nylon ball bearings.
For exposures longer than 30 seconds, you always have the potential to add a Celestron HD Pro Wedge, designed for fork mounted SCTs up to 11-inches. The wedge converts the CPC Alt-Az into an EQ Mount, allowing for All Star Polar Alignment and Permanently Programmable Periodic Error Correction (PPEC).
Optics Central is an Authorised Retailer of Celestron. The Celestron CPC Delxue 925 EdgeHD Computerised Telescope is covered by the Celestron 2 Year Warranty.
