The Celestron Large SCT and EdgeHD Adapter V2 for Off-Axis Guider (OAG) produces a larger area of illumination when used with large-aperture Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes. Perfect for owners of 925, 1100 and 1400 OTAs.
When you pair this Adapter with the Celestron OAG, you'll be able to use the full image circle of your large-aperture scope. This comes in especially useful for owners of larger format cameras such as the Canon EOS 5D / 6D, as their full frame will allow you to take advantage of the larger area of illumination of your large-aperture OTA.
This adapter is constructed with black anodised aluminium and its internals are sandblasted, helping prevent glare and providing great contrast. The knuckled surface of this adapter also make threading entirely ergonomic.
What's new with the V2?
The V2 variant of the Large SCT & EdgeHD Adapter for Off-Axis Guider has a longer optical length of 38mm. When used with the OAG, this allows most DSLRs to achieve backfocus, without the need for additional adapters or spacers.
