This telescope is enhanced with Celestron’s proprietary StarBright XLT coatings, the C6 delivers increased contrast and brightness, revealing fine lunar and planetary detail as well as faint deep-sky objects. It strikes an ideal balance of portability, performance, and value.
Designed as an accessible entry- to mid-level computerised GoTo telescope, the NexStar SLT series is available in popular apertures and comes equipped with user-friendly features.
Each model includes a pre-assembled, adjustable stainless steel tripod, and a quick-release fork arm and tube—allowing tool-free setup in minutes. The lightweight yet stable SLT mount is ideal for travel.
Celestron’s SkyAlign technology simplifies alignment: Enter the date, time, and location, then point the telescope at any three bright celestial objects. No prior knowledge of star names is needed—even the Moon or bright planets can be used.
The ergonomic hand controller can be used remotely or left in its cradle for hands-free operation. Users can easily browse object catalogues, adjust slew speed, access object details, or check visibility with a single button press.
The mount operates on 8 AA batteries (not included) or an optional AC adapter (#18778). The internal battery compartment powers precision servo motors, ensuring stable, low-vibration performance while avoiding cord wrap issues.
