The Celestron StarSense Autoguider takes the complexity out of astrophotography.
Celestron have done it with the StarSense Autoguider. With this single device, you have the potential to solve the pain points of many astronomers.
With automatic sky alignment.
The StarSense Autoguider makes your GoTo system super easy to use. In just three minutes, the Autoguider can automatically sky align your telescope mount with just the push of a button. It does it with incredible accuracy too, with celestial objects appearing in the center of your field of view - even if you're using a high-powered eyepiece or a small imaging sensor.
And the best part is, it only take three minutes!
Assisted polar alignment to improve your mount's accuracy even further.
The Celestron Autoguider walks you through an easy, automated process to dial in the best polar alignment. Using your hand controller or the Celestron PWI (CPWI) Software, follow the on-screen instructions to polar align efficiently and accurately. Expect to improve the accuracy of your polar alignment dramatically - all in just less than five minutes.
Autoguiding makes long-exposure astrophotography a breeze.
To keep your celestial target locked-in over long exposures, autoguiding is extremely important. The Celestron StarSense Autoguider will correct any periodic errors in your mount, preventing streaky stars and keeping your subject in focus. Normally, you would need a separate autoguiding camera, a guidescope and a computer to autoguide - but the StarSense Autoguider can do it all alone.
High-quality, 4-element optics.
The high-quality, 4-element optical design in the Celestron StarSense Autoguider was designed by Mark Ackermann. Expect sharp images, much sharper than other guidescopes. To add to its optical quality, the Autoguider is threaded for 2-inch astronomical filters. This means you can adapt your StarSense Autoguider for a number of conditions. Add a neutral density filter for focusing in daylights or an IR-pass filter to align your mount in twilight.
With plenty of potential for advanced users.
If you're an experienced astrophotographer, you'll love the potential that the StarSense Autoguider allows for fine-tuning. Fine-tune your autoguiding setup to best suit your mount via CPWI. There are plenty of options available, such as the potential to enable ditering options to move the mount slightly between camera sub-exposures to improve the performance of your image processing software. CPWI has a database of more than 100,000 celestial objects - and this list is regularly being updated. You can even guide on a comet!
But most importantly, with the purchase of a Celestron StarSense Autoguider, you have access to all subsuquent firmware updates of CPWI. With Celestron engineers working around the clock to continuously adapt and improve, the possibilities with the Autoguider are endless.
Widely compatible.
Celestron designed the StarSense Autoguider to work with your current setup. Whether you prefer to use your NexStar+ Hand Controller, a wired PC Connection, WiFi or CPWI - the choice is yours.
The StarSense Autoguider works with almost all Celestron computerised mount - both German Equatorial (EQ) and Alt-Azimuth (AZ). See the chart below for full compatibility details.
Optics Central is an Authorised Retailer of Celestron. The Celestron StarSense Autoguider is backed by the Celestron 2 Year Warranty.
