Help us celebrate our annual telescope viewing night! Bring your family and friends and get ready to be blown away by the marvels of our solar system and beyond. The event is FREE for all! Just remember to book your free spot. Event starts 7pm 4th October 2025. We will have an incredible array of telescopes and binoculars on display, allowing you to gaze at the moon's craters and explore the vast night sky. You will be amazed by the stunning views of the moon, planets, nebulas, galaxies and other celestial objects!

 

What To Expect 

This year we have a range of activities suitable for all ages and backgrounds. To take part in our activities, remember to grab a Cosmic Passport from Registration once you're signed in!

This Cosmic Passport will guide you through your night with a host of fun activities and educational demonstrations about astronomy.

 

See the Planets Through A Telescope 

Explore the Moon's craters and observe Saturn's rings in detail. We will have a range of refractor, reflector telescopes, computerised telescopes, including Celestron Nexstars and the saxon Astroseeker, and dobsonian telescopes on display and for hands-on fun! Our team will be nearby to help new users with the telescopes too! 

 

Presentations about the Moon and Saturn

Discover Saturn and the Moon in a visual journey through time. Our presentation includes audiovisual and physical displays of Moon and Saturn to fully immerse yourself in learning about our distant neighbours - The Moon and Saturn. 

 

Astrophotography Demonstration 

Watch a Deep Sky Object take shape on a screen through astroimaging with a colour camera. See the process and the thoughts that go into developing astrophotos from our Astrophotographer!

 

Guest Speakers

Uncover fascinating facts about the Solar System through the knowledge of our knowledgable guest speakers! 

 

Learn to Take Photographs with your Phone

Come try your hand at taking astrophotos with your phone through a telescope! Our staff will show you how to use the most common smartphone adapters and provide some tips on how to get your best shot.  You'll be an expert in no time!

 

A Perfect Night for Eveyone! Guaranteed ASTRONOMICAL FUN!

Bring your kids along for a valued introduction into astronomy and get them excited about the science. There will be numerous astronomy experts around ready to bestow their wisdom.

 

Guided Star Walk Tour 

Join in for an immersive experience  as our expert astronomers leads you through the wonders of the night sky! They will highlight key constellations and celestial objects, while attendees can observe through binoculars.
