The iOptron SkyGuider Pro is an essential tool for astrophotographers interested in capturing wide-field astrophotography and astroscapes. This redesigned mount head boasts a compact structure - small enough to fit in the palm of your hand - while delivering silent tracking, improved precision, and a built-in rechargeable power source. It features an ST-4 guiding port and a camera trigger port, ensuring seamless integration with your gear.

The SkyGuider Pro’s enhanced precision polar scope retains its finely engraved reticule and now offers adjustable illumination with multiple brightness settings. When paired with our iOS app, achieving fast and accurate polar alignment is effortless. The mount operates at four tracking speeds: 1X (sidereal), 1/2X (for capturing both stars and landscapes), solar, and lunar - ensuring versatility for a range of astrophotography scenarios. Additionally, a quick slew mode (144X) allows rapid image reframing without disturbing the camera's position.

Significant improvements have been made to the alt-azimuth base, which is now removable and includes a precision bubble level, degree markings for altitude, and a built-in azimuth adjustment post. For added versatility, the SkyGuider Pro mount head can also attach directly to any standard photographic tripod using 1/4” or 3/8” threads.

To accommodate heavier equipment, the DEC mounting bracket package includes a DEC bracket, counterweight shaft, counterweight, and a Vixen-style dovetail saddle. This makes the SkyGuider Pro capable of supporting heavier camera and lens combinations, or even lightweight telescopes.

The optional Go2Nova® 8408 hand controller enables additional mount control, including polar alignment assistance, slewing, guiding rate adjustment, camera trigger control, and various mount settings.
