Leica's innovative Geovid 8x56 3200.COM laser-rangefinder binoculars combine Leica premium optics with state-of-the art rangefinding technology for class-leading performance. The Geovid 3200.COM rangefinder provides a rapid distance acquisition, measuring targeted objects at an average time of 0.3 seconds. The user has the option of selecting distance measurements in yards or metres with equally pinpoint precision and repeated reliablity. Leica's patented perger-porro prism system and high-end optical coatings provide outstanding clarity and a high light-transmission value of 91%. The user can range targets out to a maximum distance of 2950 metres under extreme weather conditions and in any terrain, such as mountains and deserts.
The Geovid HD-B 3200.COM models utilise Leica's equivalent horizontal range (EHR) technology. This technology uses a sophisticated IR laser that measures the line-of-site distance to a target in unison with an inclinometer that determines the angles-of-incline or decline of the target. A ballistics computer then makes the necessary calculations to measure the adjusted horizontal range of the target. EHR also employs sensors that read temperature and air pressure. The result is a highly accurate ballistic solution for the user.
Leica's Advanced Ballistic Compensation system (ABC®) is also integrated into the Geovids. This technology employs 12 pre-programmed ballistic solutions for the user to select, which are based on widely-used loads in conjunction with range, environmental, and angle factors relevant to a particular shot. Alternatively, the accompanying app permits you to input ballistics information detailing your personal settings for your rifle and ammunition, which can then be transfered to the Geovid 8x56 3200.COM rangefinder via Bluetooth connectivity. The app can work with an Android or iOS phone. Wind speed readings can be acquired from a Kestral Elite wind meter and also relayed directly to the binoculars via wi-fi for even higher precision.
Other features of the Geovid 8x56 3200.COM rangefinders include an LED display employing 4 digits with adjustable brightness, spot mode to distance single subjects and scan mode to continuously measure moving or multiple targets.
The Geovid 8x56 HD-B 3200.COM features Leica's patented AquaDura® coating on external optical surfaces to permit dust, dirt and fingerprints to be easily cleaned. The binoculars also feature Leica's unique HDC® fully-multilayered coating on all optical surfaces to ensure maximum light transmission, high contrast, neutral colours and abrasion-resistance.
The Geovids have a rugged and lightweight magnesium alloy chassis and are protected with rubber armor that provides the user with a firm grip. The binoculars are nitrogen purged and have O-ring seals to prevent internal fogging and ensure all-weather use, and are submersible to a depth of 5 meters.
The 118 metre field of view of the 8x56 Geovids ensures a generous overview of the horizon, whilst the eight times magnifaction delivers high detail recognition and a stable image. The large 56mm objective lenses provide enhanced light-gathering performance for exceptional viewing experiences in low and difficult light conditions.
