Leica Ultravid 42 HD-Plus

The models of the 42 HD-Plus series are among the most compact binoculars available on the market in their class but their light gathering power can compete with the larger 50mm models. 

The 7x magnification is a true leading light and so is ideal for use in the hours approaching darkness. In addition, the 7x magnification offers a steady image, because hand trembling or engine vibrations, e.g. on a boat, are not transmitted.

Thoughtfully Engineered

 To reduce user fatigue during long glassing sessions, the chassis is made of a lightweight yet durable magnesium alloy, with a titanium center hinge axle. The Ultravid binoculars are nitrogen filled for fog proof properties. It is also durable even in water. it is waterproof and it is submersible to around 5m in water. Ergonomic thumb indents on the bottom of the binoculars coupled with protective rubber armoring provide a comfortable slip-resistant grip. The list goes on!

The specially formulated SCHOTT HT glass on these Ultravid binoculars largely enhances the light transmission especially in the blue-violet light band. It improves colour fidelity and enhances low light performance. On top of that, scratch and abrasion-resistant High Durable Coating(HDC) and hydrophobic AquaDura technology protect against lens surfaces and cause water, oil and dirt to slide right of the lenses, making cleaning nice and easy.
