I bought this for a friends birthday and I don't regret it at all. We've used it a few times and have seen some amazing stuff. Easily views the moon in great detail (get a moon lens, that thing is bright) and we could see faint lines on Jupiter as well as 4 moons. We took it out into the country to get some really really dark sky and could see nebula and globular clusters, amazing! It's quite bulky though so not ideal if you're planning to travel with it. Very easy to set up though, great for lazy people or those with kids that don't want to mess around with calibration and setup.
