Pyrex Glass 
The Saxon 12" Dobsonian Telescope is fitted with a primary mirror made of Pyrex Glass. This type of glass, typically used in laboratories, can withstand thermal expansion extremely well and is hence less likely to expand or contract due to temperatures changes. The consistency of this glass ensures the images produces are always sharp. Pyrex glass is also substantially more resistant to scratching than plate glass. 

This scope faeturs a solid 2" Crayford focuser and 1.25" adapter so eyepieces of any size is acceptable. This model also includes a new Tension Control Handle feature.    

Proprietary Tension Control Handle
The Saxon 12" Dobsonian Telescope is fitted with a Tension Control Handle (US Patent #6,940,642), to provide a tension adjuster so that users can easily turns to add or reduce tension, thereby increasing or decreasing the friction between the optical tube and the sideboard of the mount. Telescopes then need not be balanced in order to stay in position. A tension adjuster also allows the optical tube to stay in position although the tube can still be moved when prompted.  

The Saxon 12 inch Dobsonian Telescope is covered by a 5-Year Manufacturer's Warranty.
