The saxon Solar Filter offers a safe and reliable way to observe the Sun by significantly reducing harmful solar radiation before it enters your telescope. Designed to fit 250mm aperture Newtonian/reflector telescopes, this filter uses a high-quality coated thin film that effectively blocks visible light, infrared, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation.
Once securely attached to the front of your telescope, the filter produces a natural, true-colour view of the Sun with a warm yellow-orange hue, free from optical distortion. This enables clear observation of sunspots and surface details while protecting both your eyesight and the telescope’s internal optics.
