The Saxon No. 58 Colour Planetary Filter is a green filter designed to enhance your planetary and lunar observations through a 1.25-inch eyepiece. This filter is especially useful for improving contrast and highlighting specific features of planets and the Moon by selectively blocking certain wavelengths of light.
The No. 58 filter is highly effective for observing the cloud bands of Jupiter and Saturn, as well as increasing the visibility of Martian surface features during favourable oppositions.
