The Saxon No. 58 Colour Planetary Filter is a green filter designed to enhance your planetary and lunar observations through a 1.25-inch eyepiece. This filter is especially useful for improving contrast and highlighting specific features of planets and the Moon by selectively blocking certain wavelengths of light.
The No. 58 filter is highly effective for observing the cloud bands of Jupiter and Saturn, as well as increasing the visibility of Martian surface features during favourable oppositions. On the Moon, it enhances the contrast of craters and surface details, making it a valuable tool for lunar exploration. By blocking much of the red and blue light, this filter provides a sharper, more detailed view of celestial objects.
Made from durable materials, the filter is threaded for a secure fit with most standard 1.25-inch eyepieces. Its compact design ensures compatibility with a wide range of telescopes and accessories, making it a practical addition to your astronomy toolkit.
