The Saxon F1149EQ Reflector Telescope is a great beginner scope. For anyone taking their first step into astronomy, this scope is built with an 114mm aperture, 900mm focal length (f/8). 4.5" aluminised & overcoated mirror, 5x24 finderscope, equatorial mount. With an equatorial mount you learn to scan the sky according to how the equator is shaped - challenging and exciting at the same time! 

Also included with the F1149EQ is smooth rack and pinion focuser, three Super 1.25" eyepieces, 1.5x erecting lens for terrestrial use, aluminium tripod. Expect 125% more light with this scope than a than 76mm tube and 165% more light than 70mm scopes. This is a good beginner's reflector, suitable for Moon and planets. Comes with colour printed Moon & Solar system chart.

The saxon F1149EQ is incredibly versatile. If you are interested in detailed planetary viewing, opt for a 2x barlow lens (sold separately) to get even more magnification. This telescope can handle up to 228x magnification! if you're interested in astrophotography, you can upgrade your mount with an EQ1 motor drive to move your mount with a motor at a set speed. Great for tracking! You can also get adapters to mount a DSLR, smartphone or astroimaging camera to this telescope to get started with capturing images.
