With a great balance of focal length and aperture, the Saxon Novo 909 AZ3 Refractor Telescope delivers images that are bright, sharp, and full of contrast. The 90mm multi-coated achromatic objective lens of the Saxon 90/910 AZ3 provides a significant step up in light-gathering ability compared to smaller beginner scopes, making it an excellent instrument. The Saxon 909AZ3 is mounted on an Altazimuth AZ3 mount, which features slow-motion controls for smooth, fine adjustments.

The Saxon 909 is a true dual-purpose telescope. It comes with a 45-degree erecting prism, which provides a correctly oriented image, making the 909AZ3 an excellent telescope for terrestrial use, such as scenic viewing. For astronomical use, the Saxon 909 refractor excels at providing detailed views of the Moon and planets. This telescope tube, also known as the 909AZ, is pre-threaded for a DSLR T-Ring adapter (sold separately), making it astrophotography-ready. The 909 AZ is a great starting point for imaging.
