The Skywatcher 0.77x Flattener and Reducer is tailored for the Evostar 150ED. It reduces the focal ratio from f/8 to f/6.2, reducing the exposure time by 66%, which is ideal for astrophotographers looking to capture images with shorter exposure times. The image circle is 34mm, providing an illuminated and corrected field that is compatible with APS-C sensors and smaller, helping to eliminate elongated stars at the edges and improve overall image quality.
With a back focus of 95mm, the flattener and reducer come with a spacer and M48 adapter to achieve the optimal 55mm back focus when installed. The accessory also features 2-inch filter threads, accommodating light pollution filters to enhance viewing and imaging conditions.
This flattener and reducer offers a 34mm fully illuminated field, making it suitable for both APS-C and full-frame sensors. When paired with a full-frame camera, it provides a field of view of 2.22 x 1.48 degrees. With an APS-C crop sensor, the field of view is 1.45 x 0.97 degrees.
