The Skywatcher 12" Dobsonian Collapsible GOTO Telescope is designed for intermediate to professional astronomers. It features a 12-inch (300mm) aperture for exceptional light-gathering power and detailed observations. It includes a diffraction-limited parabolic mirror and ultra-thin secondary mirror supports (only 0.80 mm) for high-quality imaging with minimal optical distortions.

Its collapsible design incorporates a 3-point tube locking system, facilitating easy setup and storage. The telescope requires no disassembly or collimation between uses, ensuring convenience for frequent stargazers.

The telescope features a GOTO system with built-in WiFi capability, allowing control via the SynScan app or the included SynScan hand controller. The system provides access to a database of over 42,900 celestial objects, and offers multiple slew speeds (from 1x to 1000x) and tracking rates (sidereal, lunar, and solar). The telescope's tracking modes are optimised for alt-azimuth movement, and it supports alignment procedures including brightest-star and two-star alignment.

Additional specifications include a focal length of 1500mm, a focal ratio of f/4.9, and a highest practical magnification of 610x. The telescope stands 1620mm tall, with an optical tube length ranging from 923mm to 1390mm and a base diameter of 646mm.
