The Skywatcher Evostar Field Flattener / Reducer 80ED 0.85x is designed to reduce the focal ratio of the Evostar 80ED by a factor of 0.85x. It takes the base f-ratio, f/7.5, to f/6.375 which not only expands the field of view but decreases the exposure time. It also functions as a field flattener, working to eliminate elongated stars at the edges of the image. moreover, this field flattener and reducer has a male M48 thread and can be crewed directly onto the focuser of the Evostar.
