The Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro SynScan Equatorial Mount is a belt-driven German Equatorial Mount that delivers improved tracking accuracy and reduced backlash with the latest technology advancements.

Features

This mount incorporates a belt-driven transmission to deliver smoother operation with reduced backlash. Heavy-duty knobs allow precise altitude and azimuth adjustments, while a built-in handle on the RA axis simplifies transport and setup. The illuminated polar scope supports alignment in both southern and northern hemispheres, and a worm gear mechanism ensures precise tracking. With a payload capacity of up to 20 kg, the mount accommodates a range of setups. Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PPEC) improves tracking accuracy, and enhanced pointing accuracy helps locate celestial objects with precision. The SNAP port enables camera shutter control, and the adjustable latitude range from 5° to 65° offers versatility for various observation locations. Connectivity is streamlined with an integrated USB port, and the dual saddle plate accepts both Losmandy and Vixen dovetail bars for compatibility with diverse equipment.

With its whopping 20kg payload capacity, this mount will accept large astrographs. Exclusive to the EQ6-R range is its transmission belt (except for the AZ-EQ6 model which also is belt driven), heavy duty AZ and ALT knobs for alignment, a convenient handle on the right ascension axis, and wider latitude range (5°-65°). 

The Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro SynScan Mount also comes equipped with the SynScan V5 Hand Controller which comprises a 42,900 celestial object database, including the Messier, Caldwell, NGC and IC and SAO catalogues.  If you're unaware of a certain object, make use of the Unknown Object Identification feature. And depending on your usage and tracking requirements, you can select from the One, Two,  Three Stars or Brightest Star alignment methods.  The mount also tracks in sidereal, lunar or solar. 

For dedicated astrophotographers, the Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro SynScan Equatorial Mount features a pointing accuracy of up to 10 arc minutes with its Pointing Accuracy Enhancement (PAE) feature and Permanent Periodic Error Correct (PPEC). For improved accuracy, you can also utilise the autoguiding feature and attach a guidescope (sold separately) and guide camera (sold separately). The built-in SNAP port is also highly convenient for DSLR photographers to plug in a remote shutter cable. The SynScan hand controller also includes a Camera Control function to create batch exposures n up to 8 groups of Exposure Time and Frames.
