The Skywatcher Evoguide Flattener Reducer 72ED 0.85x is meant for serious astrophotography. By reducing the focal length from 420mm to 357mm, it decreases the focal ratio to f/4.93, allowing for shorter exposure times and a broader field of view, ideal for capturing widefield astronomical targets and improving edge sharpness by correcting field curvature.
This reducer is best used with the Evostar 72ED, but also suitable for the entire Esprit ED range. It has an optimal working distance of 55mm. It features a M48 thread for secure and convenient attachment to M48 threaded cameras and telescopes.
