The Skywatcher Evostar 80 ED Doublet Refractor Telescope is an impressive refractor telescope tailored for both; terrestial and astronomy purposes. This telescope is known for it's wide field of view and also due it's low focal ratio of f/7.5, it produces bright images! This is great for photographing landscapes, stars and star clusters in particular. In addition, the ED glass enhances your experience by eliminating chromatic abberation as much as it can so that it can avoid any purple or blue colour fringing that may hinder your viewing experience. This results in top-class clarity and razor sharp images. 

Metallic High-Transmission Lens Coating (MHC) 

Each lens surface is coated by Skywatcher's MHC coating which allows light tranmission of up to 99.5% giving you crystal clear images. 

Precision 2” Crayford Focuser

The precision 2" Crayford Focuser gives you no backlash which results in easy and incredibly smooth fine focusing. 

Light-Baffled Optical Systems

This telescope's objective lens are light-baffled which helps in reducing any unfocused or stray light in order to achieve contrast in its prime. This is achieved through the interiors of the tube as it is flat backened which limits any unfocused light reflections reaching the focal plane.  

The Evostar 80/600 is well-suited for long-exposure imaging and works as a telephoto lens for sky photography. Its precision focuser allows for fine adjustments, ensuring sharp images of celestial objects. The blackened interior and light-baffled lens system improve contrast by reducing unwanted reflections.
