Starizona Hyperstar Conversion Kit For Celestron C14
This kit enables a non-HyperStar-compatible SCT to be converted for HyperStar use. It includes three components to replace the original secondary mirror assembly.
To install, first remove the corrector plate and unthread the baffle tube to detach the secondary holder. Place the secondary mirror into the new holder, reassemble it on the corrector plate, and reinstall it into the telescope.
Post-installation, the telescope optics must be collimated, which will be retained when the secondary is removed for HyperStar imaging. The secondary mirror is easily removed with a threaded ring and stored safely in a provided holder.
Note: Older orange-tube Celestron SCTs have differently mounted secondary mirrors, requiring a cost modification to the Conversion Kit. Please call to order or inquire about the appropriate version for your telescope.
