Refractor Telescopes are designed using lens elements - one is located where you view with your eyepieces and another at the objective lens. Unlike Reflector Telescopes, these scopes do not have mirror obstructions or multiple-reflection paths. This makes them great telescopes to use during both the day and night!
During the day, you might use a Refractor to look out at boats or whales across the sea, across land or for close-ups of the intricate details of a city. At night, a Refractor Telescope might be used to observe the Moon, some of the planets such as Jupiter & Saturn or even to observe deep sky objects like nebula and far-away galaxies. Refractor Telescopes are incredibly versatile!
