The ZWO 2" Hydrogen alpha filter is used for narrowband astrophotography. It main use is to increase the contrast of the night sky and the nebulae. In order to result in high clarity images, the filter helps in blocking out any unecessary light that may hinder during photographing.

Hydrogen alpha light has a wavelength of 656.3nm, and is the most commonly-used narrowband frequency. It can be used as part of two-band, three-band, or other false-colour images, as well as being combined as a luminance layer or as an addition to the red channel with full-colour filters. It blocks 98% of any unwanted light to enhance your photography experience.
