Improved Data Transfer Stability with a DDR Memory Buffer.

The ZWO ASI1600MM Pro Camera includes an on-board 256MB DDR3 Memory Buffer. This buffer improves data transfer stability, minimising amp-glow even with a USB2.0 Connection - commonly caused by slow transfer speeds.

 

Exceptional Performance in Astrophotography.

With a high dynamic range and low read noise and dark current, the ASI1600MM Pro performs exceptionally well in astrophotography applications.

The 12bit ADC of the ASI1600MM Pro provides 12.5 stop dynamic range - a result of the camera's exceptionally low read noise of 1.2e.

At its peak, the QE Value is estimated to be in excess of 60%.

 

Below is the Dark Current for the ASI1600 Pro. ZWO 300S dark frame tested the camera with the cooler running at -25°C.

 

Sealed CMOS Sensor Chamber.

ZWO refined the ASI1600MM Pro to be as stable as possible. With a sealed CMOS sensor chamber, this camera is designed to withstand high humidity and protect the sensor from any issues caused by dew.

 

With an Integrated USB 3.0 Port & USB2.0 Hub.

The USB 3.0 Port allows the ZWO ASI1600MM Pro run at 14.7 frames per second (in 12bit normal mode) or 23 fps (in 10bit high speed mode) at full resolution (16MP 4656 x 3520) by providing 5GB Bandwidth. You can also achieve much faster frame rates by using a region of interest (ROI).

The ASI1600MM-P also incorporates a USB 2.0 Hub to power accessories such as a guide camera, electronic focuser or a filter wheel. The ASI1600MM Pro inclues two short (0.5m) USB2.0 cables in the box, making cable management a breeze.

 

And a 2-Stage TEC Cooling System.

The 2 Stage TEC Cooling System of the ASI1600MM Pro achieves a substantial 40°C to 45°C below ambient temperature.
