With a pixel size of 2.0µm, the camera excels in capturing intricate details, making it particularly suitable for high-resolution planetary and lunar imaging. It supports a maximum frame rate of 31.2 frames per second at full resolution, enabling smooth recording of dynamic celestial events.

The ASI676MC boasts a high quantum efficiency (QE) peak of approximately 83%, ensuring efficient light capture for improved image quality. Its High Conversion Gain (HCG) mode activates at higher gain settings, reducing read noise to as low as 0.56e while maintaining a dynamic range of up to 11 stops.

Equipped with a USB 3.0 interface and a 256MB DDR3 memory buffer, the ASI676MC offers stable and reliable data transfer, minimising frame loss during long exposures. Designed to operate without amp glow, the camera delivers superior imaging performance even during extended high-gain sessions.

The ASI676MC includes a built-in HCG (High Conversion Gain) mode that significantly lowers readout noise at high gain settings without compromising dynamic range. Once the gain reaches 180 or above, HCG mode automatically engages, reducing read noise to as low as 0.56e⁻. Even at these high gains, the camera maintains a broad dynamic range—close to 11 stops—ensuring high-quality, low-noise images suitable for both planetary and deep-sky imaging applications.
