The ZWO EFW 7-Position 36mm Electronic Filter Wheel is a powerful and essential tool for astrophotographers who require fast, electronically controlled filter changes. Designed to hold seven 36mm unmounted filters, this ZWO filter wheel allows seamless transitions between filters without disturbing your imaging setup—making it ideal for advanced LRGB, SHO, and other multi-filter imaging workflows.
Built with a precision-engineered CNC-machined aircraft-grade aluminium body and a black anodised finish, the ZWO EFW is robust and lightweight. The body adds only 20mm to your optical train, making it a compact solution for most astrophotography rigs.
At the heart of the wheel is a Japanese NPM stepper motor, providing accurate and reliable positioning of filters during long exposure sessions. The wheel is powered through a single USB 2.0 cable with a low power consumption of 120mA at 5V, making it easy to integrate with other ZWO devices, including cooled cameras and the ASIAIR Plus system.
This electronic filter wheel for 36mm filters is compatible with ZWO 36mm unmounted filters and supports third-party filters ranging in thickness from 1.5mm to 3.0mm with a maximum outer diameter of 36mm. A filter mask is included to keep filters securely in place and block stray light.
