The ZWO TC40 Carbon Fibre Tripod is a lightweight and durable tripod specifically crafted to support the ZWO AM5 Harmonic Equatorial Mount, while also offering compatibility with mounts like the Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi, iOptron GEM45/GEM40, and Rainbow Astro 135E. With its robust design, this tripod is ideal for stable astrophotography setups and versatile mount configurations.
Built from high-strength carbon fibre, the TC40 tripod weighs only 2.3kg yet boasts an impressive load capacity of up to 50kg. Its adjustable height ranges from 47cm to 80cm, accommodating various observing and imaging setups. The tripod folds down to a compact 500mm for easy portability, and its two-section leg design ensures quick adjustments.
The tripod head plate features three mounting points designed specifically for the AM5 head but also supports other mounts with a 3/8" tapped hole. The central 3/8" locking knob offers versatile functionality, including fast securing of other mounts when flipped upside down. A spreader plate enhances stability by locking the legs firmly in place, while a weight bag allows you to add extra weight—such as stones or a telescope battery—for even greater steadiness.
